Making Indigo Vats

The three 2 gallon vats are made. It is important that ingredients are added in this order. 1. Caustic soda, 2. Thiourea dioxide, 3. Indigo.

HEALTH AND SAFETY. Hand hot water is around 46 – 48⁰, 55⁰ is very hot water. As a test, it is hand hot but unsustainably so.
