The traditional approach to a miru shibori motif sees concentric lines evenly placed with rows leaving and returning to the central fold. Here I follow the basic principles, but have significantly altered the row placement. One end allows more dye in giving a lacy effect, while the narrow section becomes a brighter area. You can see the full effect of this approach in repeat in the second image.
